Queen's Award for Export

BGA member, W . Ball & Co. receives the Queen’s Award for Export. The award lasts for five years and, most unusually, this is the second time that the company has achieved this honour – their first award being in 2003. W. Ball & Co manufactures specialist technical textiles under the trade name of Baltex. Their products include protective clothing for the Police and the Armed Forces as well as fire retardant paints for sports and the Fire Service. Exports have increased by over 60% since 2006 with core markets in France and the USA and customers in more than 16 countries.
