New Pittards Products
British Glove Association member and glove leather specialist Pittards hits the export trail hard in the coming weeks with attendance at two major trade shows, the Asia Pacific Leather Fair in Hong Kong this week and the Lineapelle show in Bologna, Italy just after Easter. Both are major events on the leather calendar where glove manufacturers, designers and brands from around the world gather to resource materials for the coming seasons.
Pittards will be introducing new products at both shows - maintaining its tradition of innovation at the premium end of the glove market.
In Hong Kong the emphasis will be on the major producers in the region and on leathers for the many technical and sports gloves Pittards supplies leather for. Making its debut at the show will be Pittards all new KERATAN™ leather, a product with extremely high levels of abrasion resistance thanks to its unique resin coating, embossed with a distinctive diamond pattern. Advances of 50% over existing comparable thickness leathers have been achieved in lab tests and Pittards will now be focusing its selling efforts on heavy duty users like snowboarders and motorcyclists, where abrasion resistant characteristics are highly prized.
In Bologna the emphasis is far more on fashion and, in the midst of the Italian leather and fashion industry, Pittards will hold its head high with the launch of new colours and textures for the Spring/Summer 2008 season. From light subtle pastels and minimalist tones to match eco trends, to bright vibrant shades for Spring, Pittards leathers catch the eye and are a pleasure to touch - characteristics which keep British leather at the forefront of the glove industry.
